For over a decade we've been helping families find the perfect blend of live music and DJ entertainment for weddings and b'nei mitzvot.  Nathaniel founded Shamati Music in 2013 with Isaac Zones, and since then,  has helped craft hundreds of weddings, b'mitzvot and other unforgettable celebratiosn.  We’d love to connect—to discuss your vision, share what we've seen work well.  And either collaborate with or help you find other top local vendors and musicians to ensure a seamless, beautiful event.   In a previous life, Nathaniel was songleading at Camp Tawonga and touring musician with bands like Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, bringing a deep passion for music and community to every event we craft.

Please reach out for more videos of past private events. We may even have footage from your venue!

"Leora's Bat Mitzvah was so much more perfect than I could have imagined.  To end the evening with middle schoolers screaming and dancing their hearts out was a level of joy I didn't think possible!"

Maia and Gary (wedding couple)

"We had so much fun planning with Nathaniel... He adapted to our requests and wishes with enthusiasm and grace, reassuring us at each phase of the process... One of the best parts of what Nathaniel brought to our wedding was his energy and excitement...he got every single person up and dancing for the BEST Hora ever... And the way Nathaniel closed out the night was beautiful....gathering our friends into a circle singing as we danced to our last song.  We will remember that moment for the rest of our lives...The music Nathaniel brought to our most important day was the best we could have asked for."

The great thing about Shamati is that they bring that warm, folksy energy to every song they play. There aren't many moments of pure, transcendent joy in life, but jumping up and down to "Shout" at the end of the night was definitely one of them.

Having Shamati play at my sons' bar mitzvah was one of the best decisions ever.  Nathaniel talked beforehand about "reading the crowd" to gauge the music, and boy did he ever. All evening I had guests coming up to me asking *where* did we get the band! Such an unbelievably talented group of musicians, and so much fun!
